This beautiful image is now one of my favourite images I have ever taken. I headed out to Lake Broadwater near Dalby, Queensland for my first ever solo camping trip. A wonderful spot featuring quiet camping spots overlooking the water, bountiful bird life and most importantly, stellar dark skies. It was my first time being able to utilise my new Nikon D850, Nikkor 20mm f1.8 lens and my MSM Nomad star tracker together, and the result was incredible. The details of the dust lanes, the colours of the milkyway core and Rho Ophiuci… I am only selling this print as a larger statement piece (120cm x 50cm) on the Chromaluxe metal print to make the contrasting colours of the milkyway pop, as I feel like this is the best way to appreciate this image to it’s fullest. It will be a limited edition print, featuring no signature, so you are able to mount and display it however you’d like.
