To take this image I drove to Noosa on a Friday afternoon after work to scope out the area, slept in the back of my car, woke up at 12am, walked 20 minutes down the beach before setting up to shoot this image.

Gugurmin: The Emu in the Sky is the indigenous name for the dark, dusty portions of the milkyway leading from the top of the core through to the sourthen point of the Southern Cross.

I love this image as it looks like an emu, peering it's head into the sky from a nest made of clouds.
